Venisha Brown daughter of James Brown passes away at the age of 53

I’m sad to report the passing of Ms.Venisha Brown, the late James Brown daughter. According to reports Venisha passed away on Sept. 19th of complications from pneumonia. Ms. Brown originally lived in California, however she moved to Georgia in 1997 to be closer to her father. Although she dealt with some issues throughout her life she always stayed positive and honored her dad whenever she could. I was checking out a tribute that she did in 2011 in Augusta, GA and when I say she bodied her dad dance moves. I was amazed and just overcome with shock to see how smooth she slid across that stage. She also found time before she got ill to speak with kids about her battles to encourage them. She will truly be missed by all who knew and love her. Sending prayers out to the family and friends of Venisha Brown.

Swamp People cast member, Randy Edwards killed in a car accident

According to sources Randy Edwards who appeared on “Swamp People” was killed in a car crash over the weekend. Swamp People originally debuted back in 2010 showing the daily activities of the cast member’s life in the swamps. Police reports are stating that allegedly Mr. Edwards failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, causing his car to travel off of the roadway and hit a utility pole. Mr. Edwards is not the first member to pass away on the show, back in 2012 Mitchell Guist passed away from falling while loading his boat. Fans of the show are indeed mourning his loss. I would like to send my sincere condolences out to his family and friends.

Remembering the late but great Tupac Shakur…….

On this day the world mourned the loss of an iconic man, Tupac Shakur. Tupac graced the music scene with a style all his own. Tupac is considered to be one of the best rappers of all times, and in this case I would have to agree.  Originally born in New York, Tupac later relocated to Los Angeles in the late 80’s. Tupac was not only rapper but a poet, activist, actor just an all-around dominant force. Many would tell you that this young man was definitely before his time! Giving us hits like California Love, How do you want it only names a few of the many chart topping songs that the platinum selling artist released before his death. While attending an event on September 7th, 1996 with fellow comrade Suge Knight, the legendary rapper was shot multiple times. Tupac later passed away from complication on September 13th, 1996. I can still remember where I was when I heard the news. I was absolutely devastated, like those who loved him and his music. His voice and spirit will continue to live on and he is truly missed by all. Rest in peace Tupac!!!!!!!!!!

Remembering 9/11………………………

Our world was silenced 17 years ago today after the deadly terrorist attack. Al-Qaeda high jacked four airplanes and carried out a series of attacks. Two of the planes were flown into the World Trade Centre in New York, another plane targeted the Pentagon and another crashed in Pennsylvania. News crews were on the scene to what some thought was just a horrific accident, but 18 minutes later the world realized that we were under attack! A second airplane that collided into the World Trade Centre caused a massive eruption causing debris and disturbance in the surrounding areas. As the world watched with fear, outrage and panic the debris continued to fall and the smoke continued to flare. According to sources there were at least 3,000 people killed including the terrorist. Innocent people who were unable to evacuate the building along with law enforcement who attempted to save the victims were among the list of the deceased. The nation responded to the horrific attack and the outpour was in abundance. I can still remember where I was when our country was violated. I can still remember my feeling of dismay and grief as I watched innocent lives come to an end because of these terroristic sociopaths. I will never forget those whose voice was silenced on that day of turmoil. May you all continue to rest in peace, you will never be forgotten!
